Specifications - Flow meter Plastic #828

Post by 1bobc »

Do you have a flow meter compatible with this sensor?
Does this sensor require signal conditioning before the processor?
Durability: minimum 300,000 cycles – what is a cycle?

Do you have a flow meter compatible with this sensor?
It is just the sensor. You would need a microcontroller to interface with it and measure the flow.
When powered by 5v, the outputs will be compatible with any 5v microcontroller.
The 'cycles' refers to revolutions of the flow-sensing wheel.

Thank you for you're quick response.
Does that mean at 2l/m the sensor would be rated for 20,000 liters?

With reference to your product #828 would it be possible to have the same product made but with 3/4" size pipe and connections. It mentions in the specification that it is good for 300,000 cycles - how would that compare with a regular domestic mechanical meter? Currently we use approximately 20,000 liters per month, does that mean I would need to change the sensor every month?

These are hobby parts and we do not make them. If you need something more sturdy I would recommend Google for a manufacturer that can get you parts more suited to your project.
