I am looking to purchase and construct 25 solar Minty Boost kits, but need to minimize the soldering involved. I plan to purchase all the items in the writeup; the LiPO battery, charger, and DC jack, PV panel, and Minty Boost, but...
1) Are there any newer suggestions for a pre-assembled MintyBoost kit?
2) Is it possible to get the kit piecemeal from AdaFruit so the AA battery holder is not included? This is not useful if I am using the LiPO with charge controller. I found the parts list for the MintyBoost, but wish to get the components from a single source.

Re: Modified solar minty boost
We do have the PowerBoost 500 which is a more up-to-date design than the MintyBoost. This comes assembled except for the connectors. You can plug your LiPos directly into the JST connector:

Re: Modified solar minty boost
That is superb news! I found the PowerBoost 500, but wasn't sure if it was comparable to the Minty. This is great! Thanks you!
