I purchased three "ADXL377 - High-G Triple-Axis Accelerometer (+-200g Analog Out)" evaluation boards but am running into the same problem. All three seem to be outputting a constant voltage of 1.65V for the x, y and z axis when I measure them with my multimeter. Why do these voltages not change when the accelerometer is moved?
When I measure output voltages with my ADXL337 evaluation board, the x, y and z axis have varying voltages which I can then plug into an Excel file to determine the current angle for the x, y and z axis.

Please post photos showing your soldering and connections to the boards.

Re: ADXL377 Voltage Output Voltage
Attached is photo showing soldering and connection to an Arduino.
x connected to A0
y connected to A1
z connected to A2
ground to ground
Vin to 5V
Although I have tried various power and AREF combinations.
*I realize in the picture that y is connected to A2 and z to A1, but that is not the case.

Re: ADXL377 Voltage Output Voltage
What range of raw values do you see in your Arduino output while moving the breadboard on the desk?
The 337 is a +/- 3G device. The 377 is a +/- 200G device. You need a much much stronger acceleration to register on the 377.

Without measuring the raw values I think you answered my question.
I wanted to measure the angle of a swaying pendulum which might not supply enough G's.
What applications is the 377 typically used for?
And what is the difference between the ADXL335 and ADXL337?

Re: ADXL377 Voltage Output Voltage
The 377 is commonly used in high-impact applications such as drop or impact testing.
The 335 and 337 have similar specs. I think that the 337 is a later design and consumes a bit less power.
